Basic techniques include washes, dry-brush, wet-in-wet, avoiding muddy colors, brush care, resists, lifting, scraping, palette arrangements, masking fluids, brush strokes and clean-up. Learn to paint creatively with simple exercises like trees, sky washes, clouds, shrubs, mono-chromatics, mixing the color wheel, and a full value scale. Learn the beauty of the rich and luminous watercolor medium.
Al B Johnson – Beginning Loom Beading
Thursdays, May 3 – 31, 10 am to 1 pm

Learn some beading history and be inspired by Native American designs. Students are instructed on project design and loom technique. Use of tools and materials are included in class price.
